More military career details:
Martin joined the Scots Guards in 1980 and completed his service in 1992 leaving at the rank of Sergeant. He was fortunate to serve overseas including Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea and Cyprus. Overseas operations included the Falklands, Northern Ireland and the first Gulf War. He also conducted Public Duties at Buckingham Palace, St James' Palace, Tower of London and Windsor Castle - including participating in 3 occasions of Trooping the Colour.
