We are based in Cheshire but offer our expertise UK wide - MRD Technologies was established to provide SME clients with professional IT and technology support and guidance, similar to the level of service large enterprises take for granted. Formed by three former colleagues with extensive experience in the IT and Telephony sectors, MRD is now recognised as an award-winning organisation. Our goal is to offer a full range of secure, cost-effective, and up-to-date technology services, enabling businesses to grow and develop confidently.

Having worked in the SME marketplace for many years, we observed that many IT and telecoms providers consistently focus on the largest companies while neglecting smaller clients. This inspired us to create a better approach. Partnering with industry-leading organisations, we ensure we have the tools to deliver what we believe is essential. We focus on service excellence and business understanding—helping clients make informed decisions that benefit their business, rather than simply promoting the latest trend for our own gain.

Our ambition is for every customer to feel confident in providing us with a reference or recommending us to their own clients and suppliers. We strive to offer flexible contract terms rather than tying customers to long-term commitments that can leave them feeling overlooked.

We remain mindful that customers always have the option to choose another provider. This motivates us to continually deliver outstanding service. Quite simply, we don’t want unhappy customers—it’s no good for you, and it’s no good for us.

Introduction to the Directors
Richard Delooze
Richard has worked in IT and IT support for over 15 years. Before co-founding MRD Technologies, he served as a senior IT support technician and later as IT Manager for a large engineering company. Richard now oversees service and service delivery at MRD, ensuring client satisfaction and operational excellence.

Derek Shannon
Derek brings 18 years of experience in the Telecoms and IT sectors. Throughout his career, he has been involved in all aspects of the sales process. As Sales Director at MRD, Derek’s drive and enthusiasm have been instrumental in doubling the company’s turnover year on year. Recently, he was honoured with the 42 under 42 award for young entrepreneurs.

Mark Ralph
Mark has been involved in IT and technology since graduating from university. He founded his first IT company in 1989, which he successfully ran as Managing Director for over 25 years before selling it in 2016. Before co-founding MRD, Mark worked as an IT consultant. His extensive experience and insight continue to guide MRD’s strategy and growth.

More about Richard's Military Career:

Richard is a British Army veteran, he began his military career in 1997. Over the course of five years, I gained a range of unique and rewarding experiences across several postings and was promoted to Lance Corporal in 1999 in recognition of my dedication and leadership abilities. I completed two operational tours of Northern Ireland, where I undertook vital roles. During my second tour, I served in the Intelligence Cell, working on critical operational support and analysis. My passion for marksmanship led me to become a member of the regimental shooting team, and I was later deployed to Canada as a sniper, attached to Headquarters, where I honed my specialist skills in a challenging environment. In my final year of service, I was stationed at Catterick Garrison, contributing to regimental operations and supporting the transition of new recruits. I left the Army in 2002, taking with me valuable lessons in leadership, discipline, and teamwork that continue to shape my professional and personal life today.
