Auto Elite Detailing was started up in 2008 after leaving the RAF where Ian served as a Painter & Finisher.

Prior to joing the RAF Ian used to polish his cars for shows and won various competitions with his Honda Type-R. This led him to join as a Painter and Finisher to further his knowledge and understanding of Paint & Paint systems. Working on multi million paint aircraft and ground equipment gave Ian the knowledge of paint very few people possess today.

After leaving the RAF in 2007 Ian decided to set up a detailing business in 2008, started from home, then onto his first unit. He then found his current unit, which at the time was an empty barn, this was then professionally converted into a custom detailing studio with state of the art lighting and air conditioning to produce the perfect environment to enable the best possible finish to be achieved.

Since starting in 2008, Detailing has come on leaps and bounds. Whilst Paint Correction restores older cars to as new condition, a big part of Detailing is new vehicles. Protecting a brand new vehicle with ceramic coatings these keep it looking like new for many years.

Ian then invested heavily again in 2016 to offer PPF Paint Protection Film. This is a clear film that stops road debris damaging the paint. This is now a big part of Ians detailing work, especially on new cars.

Brake Caliper painting, soft top roof restore and protect are other services that are on offer.

Whilst getting the exterior paint and alloys as pristine as possible. Ian has also recently set up another side to the Detailing;

Underbody Protection and Restoration. Whilst these are areas that are not always seen, it's vitally important to keep the underside as rust free as possible. Dry Ice blasting is a big part of this side of the business, removing all the dirt, grime and rust, to restore the underside before then applying a sealant to keep the car in the absolute best condition it can be.
