Martin began as an Army Cadet Force (ACF) Officer, later joining the Territorial Army (TA) Pool of Public Information Officers, using his PR expertise to support the military. He led the NW District Press Office in Op GRANBY (Iraq), then served as ACF head of PR and MoD youth policy advisor, creating acclaimed PR training courses.
