Meet your footwear specialist: 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗽𝘀𝗼𝗻, founder of The Comforted Sole. Michael is an 𝗛𝗖𝗣𝗖 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁 & 𝗢𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁, and Associate Lecturer at the University of Derby. His journey began as an 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝗶𝗿𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝘆𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝘆 in the mid-1980s. After leaving service in 1996, he studied Prosthetics & Orthotics at Strathclyde University, graduating in 2000. His career has taken him across the world, including war‑torn countries where he provided prosthetic care, before returning to the UK in 2017 and settling in the Peak District in 2023.
