More about Ian and his career:
Ian began his professional music career in 1980 when he enlisted in the Armed Forces as a musician. Following studies in percussion and drum kit at Kneller Hall, The Royal Military School of Music, he returned to the RCT Staff Band, undertaking numerous overseas concert tours to destinations including Hong Kong, Egypt, France, Germany, and Cyprus. In 1989, he had the honour of accompanying H.M. The Queen on her State Tour of Jordan.
After leaving the Army in 1994, Ian continued to build a busy career in performance and teaching, while also developing his own teaching and music management business.

Military Background
Ian is a British Army veteran who served for over 14 years with the RCT, performing extensively overseas. A career highlight was accompanying the late HM Queen Elizabeth II during her State Visit to Jordan.
